Salon of the Month - Pure Beauty Medispa

Those who seek out success, may just find it hiding in close sight. And Pure Beauty Medispa is the epitome of that, constantly endeavouring to not only grow in their business and as therapists but provide a friendly and helpful environment for their clients. Located in Beaconsfield Victoria, Pure Beauty Medispa, led by owner Sally Espinoza, have been operating for seven years, but that doesn’t mean they have been stationary during those years.

Regularly coming up with new, natural ways to treat their clients, from the moment they drink their complimentary Bestow tea to their undying focus on natural, flawless skin, Pure Beauty Medispa has been on a mission to provide clients with products that are organic, ethical and of supreme quality, with the help of Professional Beauty Solutions (PBS).

Pure Beauty have stocked Youngblood and Pure Fiji for seven years, Wotnot for three, and their latest PBS addition is Bestow Beauty, which they have stocked and loved for 8 months strong.

With strong and ethical brands backing them all the way, Pure Beauty also places extreme importance on their customer service. With every service they provide, the client does not leave without any aftercare with Pure Fiji and Youngblood. Recognising the power of minerals and the natural formulas of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Pure Beauty conduct free 4-minute makeovers on their clients, allowing them to leave their appointment, from microdermabrasion and cosmetic injections to peels, feeling safe that their skin is taken care of, concealing any redness from the treatment.

As for their care of their clients beyond the treatment, Pure Beauty also offer clients complimentary treats. “We have a gorgeous Bestow Tea display which is offered to all clients, and Wotnot wipes are used before makeup application or 4-minute makeovers [to take care of their skin]”, Espinoza explains.

Their foray into marketing their salon is stellar, not only utilising Marketing on a Platter (MOAP) to maximise client interest and engagement in salon, but through organising loyalty cards and VIP events for their faithful clients.

There is already an increase in team morale and excitement in anticipation of the new upgraded makeup stand we have ordered, and the VIP evening this month.

Abbey Edwards are the beauty experts of Hamilton, Victoria. Established as a salon since April 2015, the Abbey Edwards team specialise in bridal and event makeup, and their talents speak for themselves.

Abbey is the owner and manager of Abbey Edwards and has over eight years’ experience in the industry.  Having worked in other hair salons, spas and clinics, Abbey felt it was time to embark on her own journey and opened her sophisticated salon in 2015. Today, Abbey Edwards now has 3 therapists.

The boutique beauty salon has grown from one treatment room with lots of space, to three treatment rooms and a tanning room which is bursting as the seams with their loyal clients! As the business continues to successfully grow, Abbey hopes to expand to a bigger premises, but still keep the private, professional and calm environment that they have created, and that their customers have come to love.

Abbey has worked with Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics for over 5 years after falling in love with the makeup range while working at a previous salon. When she opened Abbey Edwards, they needed a makeup brand that could create special occasion and bold makeup looks, while still being kind to the skin.

I trusted that PBS only distributed the most prestigious brands so it was a no brainer for me to introduce Youngblood and other PBS brands as my salon grew.

The salon is always well presented, clean and we are constantly changing the decor and in-salon marketing to keep clients interested and excited to see what has changed or what is new!” explains Abbey.

We love using the MOAP posters around the salon which gets clients talking, and the social media graphics are the best. This really sets us apart from other salons in the area and creates a very strong presence on social media.

Abbey herself has also recently done makeup for a local TV advertisement, advertising Greater Hamilton, which will be aired in the next few months and on YouTube!

Saya Beaute' Bar takes the term ‘spa’ to a whole new level. Located in Somerville, Victoria, the heavenly spa offers relaxing services to all clients, from tailored individual skincare treatments, to everyday beauty maintenance in the most tropical of landscapes. With 11 years’ experience in the beauty industry and extensive training across all areas, owner Aleshia Fowler leads an amazing team of qualified therapists and trainees to give every client the extra ‘Saya’ touch.

Aleshia has made her spa, from door to treatment room, a blissful escape from the outside, giving every client the opportunity to take the journey to relaxation. “We have designed our spa to feel as though you have stepped into a spa on a tropical island”, Aleshia says, her passion of the industry and professionalism in giving every client a unique takeaway from their experience inside.

A strong contender in the PBS community, Saya Beaute' Bar stocks brands (Sunescape, YoungbloodBody Sugaring, and Wotnot), adding each of them on as their business grew. Youngblood was an essential in their salon, as owner Aleshia had worked with and loved the brand in her previous salons, and knew she had to have it at Saya Beaute' Bar. They have also been exclusive stockists of Pure Fiji since opening their doors nearly 4 years ago, and are excited for the brand to be included into Professional Beauty Solutions’ arsenal.

We have dedicated a lot of our time and passion into [Pure Fiji] and have based nearly every treatment we offer around the product and the Pure Fiji philosophy.

Saya prides itself on being completely professional and focused on the client’s wants and needs. Aleshia and her dedicated therapists take pride in constantly training and educating themselves on the latest in the beauty industry, giving them the opportunity to grow further as a business, and truly love and believe in the treatments they offer.

I believe that if you trust in the product, then your clients will also. I wouldn’t want to recommend a product or treatment to a client that I wouldn’t use myself or believe in.

One of the most important things Saya Beaute' Bar takes with their business, is their focus on customer service, and making sure everyone walks out with a smile on their face and a positive attitude. With their tropical atmosphere and importance on treating clients as part of the ‘Saya family’, clients feel automatically welcomed into the spa.

We do our best to go above and beyond our client’s expectations, and show them we honestly care about their well being. All our clients are treated as VIP clients and receive that special touch no matter what treatment they are having.

Their Youngblood VIP event in late 2016 resulted in over 20 people in salon doing a training event with their resident MUA Lianna, and was successful in both increasing traffic into the spa as well as an influx of sales, especially surrounding Youngblood. “We are so excited to get our clients involved with the brands we stock here, we want them to be as passionate about the brands as much as we are”, Aleshia says, ahead of her salon planning their next few VIP events lined up for this year. Along with this incredible success in salon, Saya also sponsored Miss International Australia, and the winning contestant in Ms Earth Australia taking them international and growing their social media following astronomically.

Saya Beaute’ Bar opened 4 years ago with only 2 therapists and 3 treatment rooms. We are now at 4 years with 4 treatment rooms and 5 therapists and still growing! We are in the process of expanding again and growing with our treatments, professionalism, products and therapists. We can’t wait for this bigger journey to begin and seek the support of PBS!

Sheer Serenity Skin & Beauty is an award winning skin and beauty clinic, which resides in the beautiful town of Bowral in NSW’s Southern Highlands. For more than 10 years, the therapists at Sheer Serenity, led by owner Charmain Johnston, have been providing their clients with clinically validated skincare products and cosmetics, as well and beauty maintenance.

Paramedical aesthetician Charmain, was searching for reputable brands that were natural, free of nasties and perfect for their clients’ needs.

I was searching for a second tanning range that was made in Australia, which provided our clients with a long lasting tan. Not long after stocking Sunescape, it became our #1 tanning range. Our clients love the natural long lasting colour that fades off evenly.
