Salon of the Month – Light Aesthetics Skin & Body Clinic

Light Aesthetics is a beautiful clinic located in Southern River, Western Australia. With their doors open for 6 years this month, Light Aesthetics specialise in results driven skin treatments, focusing their entire clinic philosophy around delivering the best they can to their clients with the highest-grade treatments and products. Light Aesthetics Skin & Body Clinic stocks Image Skincare and heavily reps the brand in their high-end clinic. After trialing and testing Image samples dropped off at their salon, Erin knew she wanted the range in her clinic.

It has changed my clinic in so many ways and out clients have become so loyal to [the brand] because of the results.

A popular treatment in the clinic is the O2 Lift which they run regular promos on to introduce more of their clientele to Image Skincare. Using PBS’s MOAP sets for marketing and providing their clients with enticing promotions monthly has seen their retail sales increase dramatically along with sales of treatment packages. They have also held VIP events to encourage more clients into the salon (new and loyal).

Salon of the Month - Modern Goddess

Modern Goddess upmarket full-service salon and medi-spa located in Bundall Queensland. They offer clinically proven, non-surgical skin rejuvenation therapies to improve and reverse signs of aging and address specific skin conditions, permanent hair reduction and more. Modern Goddess do this through a blend of clinical approaches, state of the art medical grade equipment and specific treatment protocols to provide visible results that can't be achieved through regular beauty therapy treatments. In addition to this, they also offer a range of other services such as hair, spray tanning, nails and makeup.

What makes Modern Goddess special is the offering of unique treatments such as cryotherapy to remove various lesions, diathermy, IPL, dermal skin needling and vascular treatments. They salons range over almost 180 square meters of space with four treatment rooms.

Out of the PBS brands, Modern Goddess currently stock Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics and Image Skincare. They decided to take on Image Skincare after a recommendation from another therapist. After hearing about Image Skincare in Canada about 9 years ago they decided to take on the range because of its good reputation and great variety of products.

I have seen Image Skincare delivery some amazing results on Rosacea and dehydrated skin. One of my favourite treatments is the O2 lift and the signature lift.

After stocking both Image Skincare and Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Modern Goddess retail sales have increased.

My goal is to do more. More promotions, more specials. I am open to any suggestions.

In regards to customer service, Modern Goddess makes sure every client feel special and they always follow up on any advance treatments. They also offer educational classes, competitions, promotions and Facebook live to engage their clients.

Salon of the Month - The Beauty Spot Swan Hill

The Beauty Spot is an elegant and tranquil salon centrally located in the heart of Swan Hill. Despite being small in size, the salon offers a huge range of high end treatments and are repeatedly complimented on their offerings by their clients.

“We are constantly booked out weeks in advance, and pride ourselves on being the most professional and experienced salon in Swan Hill” says founder and owner Christine Ewart, who opened the salon in August 2013 after five years of consistent working and gaining experience in the industry at two different salons.

Although being a busy salon, the highly qualified therapists at The Beauty Spot always make sure the clients’ experience feels relaxing and rejuvenating. Customer satisfaction is so important to the team, who always make sure they are doing ‘the small things’ such as offering tea and coffee, and 4 minute makeovers at the end of every treatment, which really make the salon one of the best.

We always try and spend those extra few minutes doing the finishing touches so that everyone leaves feeling beautiful.

After being introduced to PBS through Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics in 2011, Christine has further grown her PBS portfolio adding Sunescape Tan, Image Skincare, Cherry Blooms and Wotnot to the salon menu. “Stocking Image Skincare was a no brainer when PBS starting distributing it. I knew it would be an amazing product if PBS had it! It walks off our shelves and the professional peels give our clients the best results” exclaims Ewart.

They are also soon to have a Dermalux in the salon, which is regarded as the highest dollar per minute treatment on the market today.

On how to excel in customer service, Christine and the team at The Beauty Spot believe in continuous education and training, ensuring they offer the very best in client treatments and up-to-date customer education. In addition to this, they always use MOAP every month to provide their clients with beautifully displayed product- and treatment specials. Christine has created a dedicated display area for MOAP in her salon which has resulted in increased sales.

The clients always know where the specials are and it a great way to remind staff of monthly specials.

Beautiful Heart is a professional beauty salon located on the stunning turquoise coastline of Jurien Bay in Western Australia offering a range of treatments and beauty products. Priding themselves of their tranquillity and making people feel comfortable, offering high quality products to their clients matching any wallet size has been important to the owner and founder Tarryn Gill.

Since opening the beauty salon in 2014, Beautiful Heart have stocked the organic skincare line La Clinica and have continued to add more PBS brands to their offering as the salon grew.

I was introduced to La Clinica in my late teens with very sensitive and dry skin when I was unable to use any products because of my sensitivity and it became my savour, so it was an obvious choice offering La Clinica to my clients when I was setting up the salon.

Beautiful Heart believe every client should walk out the door both feeling and looking beautiful, which for Beautiful Heart is achieved by going the extra mile for their clients in their treatments and providing them with the best products available.

Her passion for high quality products and customer service has been Tarryn’s recipe for success which in turn supported by her return customers. She has also utilised Marketing On A Platter in order to create exciting promotional activities and increase retail sales proven to be very fruitful. By attending Passion to Profits Tarryn found inspiration to take her business up a notch being a perfect example on what can be achieved when using all resources given. Gill says, “the Passion to Profits event was very inspiring and I took a great deal away from the day.”

Bella Venere Beauty Boutique is a luxurious salon nestled in the busy Highfields Village Shopping Centre. With four treatment rooms dedicated to pampering their clients, Bella Venere has operated for nine years and continues to grow each year.

The philosophy at Bella Venere is simple – they are all about treating the whole person, inside and out. The team pride themselves on delivering a first-class experience from the minute a client enters the salon until the moment they leave. The salon is also beautifully presented, with the warm colours and tones imbued throughout the salon complementing the friendly feeling the team indulge their clients with.

Like many, Bella Venere first stocked Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics before going on to add Sunescape, La Clinica, Cherry Blooms and Wotnot to their salon offering.

“We require products that actually deliver the results they claim to give. Therefore, Sunescape, Cherry Blooms and Youngblood pretty much sell themselves, because customers know the quality of the products,” said salon owner Sandra Dalziel.

La Clinica was also an obvious addition, “We wanted an organic range to complement our mineral makeup so La Clinica works perfectly.”

Bella Venere have had great success conducting Youngblood 40/40 sessions regularly with clients, allowing them to enjoy the feel of the product and try out new looks that may be out of their normal comfort zone. The team has found that conducting a 4 Minute Makeover with clients at the end of a treatment usually leads into a 40/40 session. Dalziel says,

These sessions create a wonderful rapport with clients, boosts sales and are lot of fun.

With the marketing and training support offered by PBS, in addition to the great range of world-class brands, Bella Venere has continued to go from strength to strength.
