Sunescape is the December Beauty Biz COVER STARS!

We are so proud to be the December cover story stars of Beauty Biz where PBS co-founder and general manager, Lisa Williams sat down to discuss Sunescape, the importance of knowing what’s in your tanning formula as it is to know what has been purposefully left out, and the latest products to join the Sunescape line up!

Beauty Biz, a trade magazine for the beauty industry provides salons, spas and clinics with the latest news, issues, topics, trends, brands and products in the market. Keeping up to date with the ever-changing face of the beauty industry, Beauty Biz distributes a bi-monthly magazine to salons and spas across Australia.

In their latest issue, they spoke about all things Sunescape Tan with Lisa. A tan formulated for the client with the therapist front of mind, Sunescape is an award-winning, Australian-made and owned sunless tanning range that delivers natural-looking colour with a delicious, tropical scent. The brainchild of Matt and Lisa Williams – owners and directors PBS - Sunescape was created to meet the demand for a no-nasties tanning range that gave the skin a healthy colour, without dryness, streaking, patchiness or the dreaded orange undertone.

As Lisa states in the article,

“Ingredient listings are often skimmed over but can be the most important part of your tan, how long it lasts and the effect it has on your skin over time.”

This logic was a huge contributor and continues to be, in the formulas of Sunescape’s professional spray tan solutions and retail range. From the get-go, Matt & Lisa knew that having a tan that was going to give great colour, not cause any dryness and streakiness, or leave skin with that dreaded orange tone was paramount. However, there was one more additional component that was crucial to their formulas and that was the omission of harmful ingredients.

From that, Sunescape was born – a professional and retail range of sunless tanning products that use only certified natural DHA and are fortified with vitamins, antioxidants and plant oils that nourish the skin, and anti-ageing, hydrating and firming ingredients that leave skin smooth and replenished.

Another important factor to Matt & Lisa in the formulation of their professional spray tan solutions was to keep both the client AND the therapist front of mind. As Lisa explains,

“As we know, it is not all ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to tanning products. At Sunescape, we didn’t want to offer you too many shades that then becomes confusing to know what’s what. That’s why we have kept it simple with four professional solutions shades, named after your favourite holiday destinations – Weekend in Bondi (Light), Week in Fiji (Medium), Month in Maui (Dark) and Summer in Santorini (Ultra Dark). Our range of formulas are green and violet based, so there is a tan to suit every skin type and tone.”
