PBS Attend the 2022 Non-Surgical Symposium with our Award-Winning, Medical-Grade Aesthetic Devices

After 3 years of waiting, Professional Beauty Solutions was thrilled to return to the Non-Surgical Symposium in the first week of June to showcase our world-class lineup of award-winning, medical-grade aesthetic devices & cosmeceutical skincare brands

Held on the Gold Coast, the Non-Surgical Symposium is Australiasia's premier educational event in non-surgical aesthetics hosted by The Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) in collaboration with the Australiasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists (ASCD), as well as the endorsement of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic  Medicine (NZSCM).

This year was truly special, as professionals came from all over the country to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the Non-Surgical Symposium, as well as 10 years of innovation, education, and patient safety.

During the three incredible days, we were proud to exhibit many of our ground-breaking, innovative, and industry-leading skincare technologies to the beauty industry’s elite from plastic surgeons and cosmetic doctors to dermal therapists and dermatologists. With multi-award-winning Dermalux LED devices on show, the world’s leading non-invasive facelift by Divine Pro, and Lynton’s medical-grade IPL for heard to treat skin concerns - the PBS stand were buzzing with interest!

Choosing the Most Effective Aesthetic Device for your Salon

In our recent blog, Introducing NEW Aesthetic Technologies to your Salon, we discussed the importance of high-tech modalities, devices and treatments in delivering exceptional & unrivalled client results - in turn increasing revenue.

Now we take a closer look at how you can choose an effective aesthetic device for your salon that not only suits your business & client’s needs but is safe, reliable & clinically proven to deliver results.

What to look for when choosing an aesthetic device…

High-quality aesthetic devices offer unlimited revenue-generating potential thanks to their ability to deliver impressive results. As demand for devices grows exponentially – the market is beginning to become increasingly saturated.

With many devices claiming to deliver incredible results and offer a great return on investment, here at PBS, we know that not all devices are created equal. With vast differences in the results that can be achieved across brands, we know that a device’s place of manufacture and technological specifications, really do matter. We encourage our salons to start by looking for devices that are TGA approved, as this guarantees it meets the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration standards of quality, safety and efficacy, and goes hand-in-hand with quality engineering and manufacturing.

The awards a device or manufacturer has won are often an indicator of quality (do however do a quick check of the awards themselves to make sure they’re legitimate)! When it comes to light therapy devices specifically, look for wavelengths that are clinically proven for results, and devices that deliver these wavelengths simultaneously as well as individually. Additionally, look for devices and modalities from manufacturers and distributors that offer comprehensive ongoing training and support to ensure your long-term success.

Things to Look For in an Aesthetic Device:

  • Medical-grade technology

  • Clinically-proven results

  • Reliable & award-winning manufacturers

  • ARTG-listing

  • Training & ongoing support

  • Marketing support

Here at PBS, we educate our salon partners on the importance of having profitable services on their treatment menu by adding effective, reliable, results-driven technologies that offer extraordinary results and predictable salon profits. And that’s why we choose to partner with the best-of-the-best when it comes to our device offerings.

Every device PBS offers undergoes rigorous testing to ensure we provide our salon partners with only the highest-grade technologies available in the industry today.

Why Bespoke Light-Based Facials and a Must-Have Treatment for Australian Salons

Gone are the days when clients and patients would settle for a professional cleanse, steam and face mask. Whilst enjoyable, today’s time-poor, social-media influenced, savvy consumer is far more discerning and often arrives in clinic armed with an in-depth knowledge of advanced aesthetics and the types results they can (and want to) achieve. They want value in terms of visible results, as well as value for money.

Enter advanced light facials. Creating bespoke facial treatments using energy-based devices such as Laser, IPL and/or LED will have your clients not only looking, but also feeling fantastic and ready for an Instagram no-filter selfie. An enviable instant glow-up is achievable for your clients when you offer advanced light treatments, and will have them returning time and time again.

What are light-based facials?

Light-based facials are skin rejuvenation treatments using energy-based devices such as Lasers, IPL’s (Intense Pulsed Light) and LEDs for skin rejuvenation. Like any other living organism, the skin responds extremely well to light and through the application of precise wavelengths (colours of light), reactions on a cellular level are induced and powerful skin transformations can be achieved. What truly sets light-based facials apart from many other cosmetic treatments is that with the right medical-grade lasers, IPLs and LEDs – you can customise treatments to your client’s exact skin concerns, needs and desired outcomes.

How do light-based facials differ from traditional facials?

Beyond the topical application of skincare in a traditional facial treatment, when using light-based devices the benefits go beyond where the skin therapist’s hands reach - down into the deepest layers of the skin. These treatments work on a myriad of skin concerns including collagen stimulation, wound healing, reduction in bacteria, hyperpigmentation correction as well as reducing inflammation.

Light based facials can treat;

  • Acne prone skin

  • Pigmentation & sun damage

  • Inflammatory skin conditions

  • Skin texture & scarring

  • Fine lines & wrinkles

In addition to specific skin concerns, light-based facials have the power to completely rejuvenate the different layers of skin – helping it to function more healthily and as a result is left looking and feeling younger and more radiant.

Create the perfect bespoke light-based facial for your clients

Recently, we went live with Lynton Lasers Ambassador and light-based facial expert - Kerry Belba (BA (Hons) BTEC., CIBTAC Laser & Light) Laser & Skin Practitioner, Laser Trainer and Exec. Board Member at the British Medical Laser Assoc – to discuss all things bespoke light facials and how to create the perfect tailored light-facial for your clients & their various skin concerns.

In this webinar we cover;

  • Understanding wavelengths and how they interact with the skin

  • Identifying the right light technologies are for your clients

  • Accurately assessing your client’s skin issues & matching them to the right light-based technology

  • and more!
