There’s nothing we love more than celebrating the achievements of our salon partners, and the 2019 PBS Skin Summit – held over two days at Sydney’s beautiful Doltone House Darling Island - was the perfect combination of celebration and education.

This year, to conclude the two-day event, PBS gave attendees the incredible opportunity to win a Dermalux LED Tri-Wave system for their business – making it our biggest and most exciting giveaway to date! The rules were simple – upon registration for Skin Summit, attendees were prompted to enter the competition by telling us in 100 words or less why they’d love to win a Dermalux Tri-Wave unit for their salon. We were inundated with entries, and in a tight race, the PBS Head Office team voted Anna’s Skin & Beauty the winner!

A beautifully appointed salon in the coastal Queensland city of Townsville, Anna's Skin & Beauty offers personalised beauty and skincare services courtesy of experienced and passionate therapist and owner, Anna Preston. But it hasn't been all smooth sailing for this sole trader. In 2018, after 14 months of trading, Anna’s salon was completely destroyed by a fire – but the tragedy didn’t keep Anna down for long. "My drive and determination were stronger than the devastation I was feeling," she said, and unbelievably, Anna's Skin & Beauty re-opened at a new premises just four weeks later!

In the short time since winning the Dermalux unit, Anna has seen it have a dramatic impact on her business. “Dermalux has definitely taken my business to the next level, and my clients are absolutely loving the results from their LED treatments. Because Townsville is a coastal city with a very outdoorsy lifestyle, I see a lot of pigmentation and premature ageing in my clients, and Dermalux has really changed the game in terms of treating these areas of concerns.” Anna says that the addition of Dermalux LED treatments has raised her salon’s profile and reputation in the community, and she’s now getting referrals from other local skin clinics to treat their clients with this groundbreaking technology. “Dermalux has definitely given me a more professional, results-driven edge and I’m happy to say my salon is finally at the stage that I’d always hoped and dreamed it would be,” she said.
