About the business
Based near beautiful, vibrant Cronulla Beach in Sydney’s south, Professional Beauty Solutions is an innovative, rapidly growing Australian-owned beauty distribution company. Our core target market is salons, spas and clinics, but we also manage the consumer social media pages for a host of on-fleek global beauty brands, including Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Sunescape Tan, Image Skincare, and loads more!
About the opportunity
We’re on the hunt for a Social Media & Marketing Assistant with kick-ass copywriting skills to be a part of our small-but-mighty marketing team, who (under the direction of the Digital Marketing Manager) will drive the development and execution of digital and mainstream marketing activities.
We’re after a special someone with a proven talent for writing engaging, original and clever copy for social media and blogs, but who’s also experienced in increasing sales and revenue through social channels and is confident they can make this happen!
Our future digi-wiz will be a boss at building and maintaining relationships with influencers, bloggers and other businesses, and someone who always seeks to find the best (but maybe not the quickest or easiest) solution to a problem. You’re comfortable working in a deadline-driven role and with 12 world-class beauty brands under our management, there’s a tonne of variety to keep your sharp mind busy!
The stand-out candidate will be a dynamic individual – highly organised and able to plan social media schedules in advance, but flexible enough to implement new content at short notice (things change fast around here!). As the voice of multiple brands, you’ll be a copywriting guru with a strong understanding of brand voice and content pillars, who knows how to turn social media engagement into sales and delivers results.

About the day-to-day
Key tasks and responsibilities will include (but of course, aren’t limited to):
Developing and implementing a social media plans for selected PBS Brands.
Sourcing and creating imagery and content for social media.
Daily community monitoring and management of multiple social media accounts.
Influencer outreach and PR.
Writing (lots!) of beauty blog posts and website copy.
Generating and analysing monthly reports on social media campaign performance.
Drawing sales to our online stores through digital marketing initiatives.
You have 1-2 years digital marketing and social media management experience.
You hold a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, PR or a similar field.
You have a natural flair for writing and proven experience writing social media copy, sales copy and marketing copy, as well as strong verbal communication skills.
You have a broad creative skillset including, but not limited to, copywriting, proofing, editing, and social media content creation.
You’re obsessed with social media and passionate about keeping up to date with the latest social media trends and technological advancements.
You’re constantly searching for new and interesting ways to engage an audience and drive online customers to buy.
You have a proven ability to engage with followers and other social media accounts with an informative and on-brand tone of voice.
You’re a proactive self-starter who can work autonomously and confidently manage your daily workload and project timelines.
You’re passionate about all things beauty and keenly follow the social media landscape of bloggers, influencers, celebrities and models.
